SABBA organizes a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to support our basketball teams. From apparel sales to raffles and concession stands, these activities provide essential resources for players, coaches, and program events.
Community Representation
SABBA proudly represents Shaler Area basketball at community events like the Homecoming Parade and other local activities. By showcasing our program and engaging with the community, we strengthen support and pride for Shaler Area basketball.

SABBA serves as a resource for families, answering questions about the basketball program, including topics like fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and more. We’re here to help make the basketball experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone.
Halftime Events
SABBA organizes exciting halftime events to showcase young talent and entertain our fans. We invite teams from the Shaler Area Elementary Basketball Association (SAEBA) to play quick, fun games during halftime at high school games. Additionally, we have performers for the National Anthem and we also bring in the Shaler Area dance team to perform at select games, adding energy and excitement to the event. These activities celebrate our community’s athletic spirit and bring everyone together.
Basketball Bags
SABBA makes custom basketball bags available to all players, ensuring they have a practical and unified way to carry their gear. While players purchase their own bags, SABBA manages the process to simplify ordering and distribution for the teams.
Warmup Gear
SABBA provides warmup gear for players and coaches, personalized with embroidered player names. We handle the ordering and customization process, ensuring everyone looks unified and ready to represent Shaler Area basketball.
Coaches Gear
SABBA ensures our coaches are equipped with high-quality warmup gear, personalized with embroidery to represent Shaler Area basketball proudly.
Travel Meals
SABBA provides meals for players when they travel to away games, ensuring they have the nourishment they need to stay energized and focused. It’s one of the ways we support our teams both on and off the court.
Little Dribblers
SABBA supports the Little Dribblers program, where high school players mentor and work with young basketball enthusiasts to develop their skills and love for the game. We assist this Summer camp by managing the registration process and collecting fees, helping to make this program a success for both participants and mentors.
Boys Shootout
SABBA supports the pre-season Boys Shootout event by managing entry fee collection at the door. This exciting event brings together teams for a day of basketball competition, fostering community spirit and supporting our program.
Pictures
SABBA coordinates Picture Day, bringing in a professional photographer to capture individual and team photos of our players. Families can purchase these photos in a variety of formats, including prints, magnets, and even fat heads, creating lasting memories of the basketball season.
Dick's Coupon
SABBA partners with Dick’s Sporting Goods to provide exclusive coupons for players and their families. These discounts make it easier to purchase basketball gear and other items, supporting our athletes both on and off the court.
Senior Night
Senior Night is a special event to honor our graduating players for their dedication and contributions to Shaler Area basketball. Junior player families traditionally provide a gift to each Senior, with SABBA ensuring everything runs smoothly. If needed, SABBA steps in to provide gifts, making this celebration memorable for our Seniors and their families.
Basketball Banquet
The Basketball Banquet is a cherished end-of-season event where players, coaches, and families come together to celebrate the season’s accomplishments. Coaches from each team deliver speeches and recognize their players for their dedication and achievements. SABBA organizes this memorable evening, including dinner and a welcoming venue, to honor our basketball community.
Scholarship
SABBA is proud to support our players' academic and personal growth through our scholarship program. Senior players are invited to submit an essay to compete for a scholarship awarded to the winning essay(s). This program encourages our athletes to showcase their creativity, dedication, and aspirations while supporting their future endeavors.
Senior Banners
SABBA honors our Senior players by providing custom banners that celebrate their achievements and dedication to the basketball program. These banners are proudly displayed during the season, recognizing the hard work and commitment of our graduating athletes as they prepare for the next chapter in their journey.
